According to the latest statistics, in August 2020, China imported 166,100 tons of cotton yarn, down 3.78% month-on-month and up by 13.09% year-on-year; the exports of cotton yarn reached 24,900 tons, increased by 4.26% month-on-month, down 11.83% year-on-year. The net imports were 141,200 tons, declined by 5.07% month-on-month, and increased by 19.02% year-on-year.

From January to August 2020, China imported more than 1.20 million tons of cotton yarn, down 9.49% year-on-year; the cumulative exports reached 172,400 tons, down 35.61% year-on-year.
