Production Practice of Air-jet Vortex-spun Multi-component Blended Yarn

2026年9月14日

Abstract: By combining the performance advantages of multiple fibers, an 18.5 tex air-jet vortex-spun multi-component blended yarn composed of polyester/lyocell/wool/silk at a blend ratio of 45/45/5/5 was developed. Garment fabrics made from the yarn can achieve a balance among comfort, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. During production, a pre-conditioning and moisture-regain treatment was applied to the raw materials, and the fiber blend ratio was precisely controlled. The entire process route covering blowroom, carding, drawing, and air-jet vortex spinning was systematically optimized. Flexible opening and gentle carding principles were adopted in the blowroom and carding processes, while a “low doubling and low draft” process was used in drawing. Air-jet vortex spinning parameters were carefully optimized to improve yarn abrasion resistance. Stable temperature and humidity control was maintained throughout the production process, enabling the successful development and manufacture of the multi-component blended yarn. All quality indicators of the finished yarn met the technical requirements for superior-grade products specified in the enterprise standard QB/T 021—2026 Polyester/Lyocell Multi-Component Air-Jet Vortex-Spun Greige Yarn. The production practice provides a reference for the preparation of multi-component air-jet vortex-spun yarns.
