Preparation and Properties of Polyester/Cotton Fabrics Incorporating Graphene-Modified Viscose

2026年3月11日

Abstract: To enhance the moisture management, antistatic, and antibacterial properties of conventional polyester/cotton blended fabrics, fabrics were fabricated by interweaving polyester/cotton blended yarns with graphene-modified viscose yarns. Three weave structures, i.e., twill, jacquard, and honeycomb, were designed and evaluated for mechanical properties, color fastness to rubbing, moisture management, thermal conductivity, antistatic performance, far-infrared emissivity, and antibacterial efficacy. Results show that the twill fabric exhibits superior mechanical strength and color fastness. The jacquard and honeycomb structures demonstrate improved moisture absorption. Notably, the honeycomb fabric achieves grade C surface resistivity both before and after washing, indicating effective antistatic performance, along with enhanced far-infrared emissivity and significant antibacterial activity.
