Abstract: With growing global environmental awareness and the deepening adoption of sustainable development principles, the regenerated cellulose fiber industry is experiencing unprecedented opportunities for growth. Regenerated cellulose fibers hold a significant position in the global textile market; however, their heavy reliance on imported dissolving wood pulp and the associated risks to forest sustainability have become critical constraints on industry development. To address these challenges, researchers and enterprises worldwide are actively exploring alternative non-wood, bio-based fiber sources. Juncao has emerged as a promising non-wood raw material due to its high cellulose content, rapid growth cycle, and broad adaptability, demonstrating substantial potential in the regenerated cellulose fiber sector. This paper reviews the current status of Juncao’s development and application in the regenerated cellulose fiber industry, covering key aspects such as Juncao pulp preparation, preparation technologies for Juncao-based regenerated cellulose fibers, and their practical applications. The aim is to provide valuable insights and references to advance the Juncao-based fiber industry and support the green transformation of the textile sector.
