Abstract: The scale of China’s technical textiles industry continues to expand, yet persistent challenges remain, including limited product functionality and insufficient capacity for high-end development.Microencapsulation technology, leveraging its unique core-shell structure and controlled-release properties,can be integrated into textiles through various preparation methods to impart multifunctional properties,including antibacterial, thermoregulatory, flame-retardant, and aromatic properties. This technology is widely used in the medical, protective, and filtration sectors. Despite ongoing challenges in substrate compatibility and large-scale production, future developments will steer toward greener, smarter, and more composite applications, propelling the advancement of high-quality technical textiles.
