Abstract: The article elaborates on the key points of cotton woven fabric selvedge design and the calculation methods of related parameters. It analyzes the factors affecting the design of fabrics’ selvedges, including selvedge weave, reeding, drafting, raw materials, and yarn counts. Through analysis of production practices for small jacquard fabrics, stretch fabrics, and double-layer fabrics, a reference-worthy process for fabric edge design has been proposed.
