Development of a New Type of Organosilicon Modified Polyacrylate Fluorinefree Waterproofing Agent and Its Application in Chemical Fiber Fabrics

2024年3月19日

Abstract: In this paper, a new fluorine-free waterproof agent of silicone modified polyacrylate was prepared by emulsion polymerization of self-made special reactive silicone oil and acrylate waterproof monomer, and its finishing process on chemical fiber fabrics was studied. The results showed that the optimized process of the new fluorine-free waterproof agent on different fabrics was as follows: poly pongee 20-30 g/L, polyester taffeta 40-60 g/L, nylon taffeta 40-50 g/L, and polyamide taslan 30-50 g/L under 170℃ baking temperature for 60 seconds. After treatment with crosslinking agents and 30 washes, the waterproof rating still exceeds 80 points when air-dried indoors. The waterproof effect and washing resistance on polyester taffeta and nylon taffeta are better than the best-selling waterproof agents A and B in the market, with a soft hand feel and excellent long-lasting washing resistance. This new fluorine-free waterproofing agent is perfect for the waterproofing finishing of large quantities of fabrics, thanks to its exceptional overall performance.
