Study on the Influence of Feeding Tension on Fully-fashioned Knitted Pattern

Abstract: Based on the initial research, it can be inferred that self-consolidating knot yarn has already become an option for knitting fabrics with a three-dimensional design and a user-friendly process. To delve into the factors that influence pattern shaping and the corrective techniques for patterns, the paper centers on the primary research point of feeding tension and scrutinizes the relevant alterations in knitted patterns,in addition to the corresponding methods for precise spinning process adjustment. The findings demonstrate that implementing self-consolidating knot yarn within the identical spinning process to knit fabrics, when the feeding tension is zero, severe yarn jitter during feeding leads to unstable tension and irregular pattern deformation; while the yarn tension will be stable when increasing the feeding tension, the pattern will be tilted to the right regularly. The pattern correction formula is finally established after experiments to adjust the stitch length as well as the spinning process parameters and ultimately obtain the fully-fashioned knitted fabric with an accurate pattern.
