Study of PVP/SA/AAP Composite Fiber Prepared by Microfluidic Spinning and Its Drug Release Characteristics

Abstract: By taking PVP and SA mixed solution as the core layer solution, calcium chloride as the sheath solution, and AAP as the model drug, the PVP/SA/AAP composite fiber, also known as PSA composite fiber, is prepared by the microfluidic coaxial spinning technology. Results indicate that PSA composite fiber boasts excellent performance and an obvious slow-release effect on AAP, with as long as 72 hours of release time and over 60% of cumulative release.
