Abstract: Recycling used polyester is an important subject of resource reuse. This paper introduces several ways to recycle used polyester apparel, including physical method, chemical-physical method, and chemical method. Thereinto, the chemical method is analyzed in detail. Although the chemical method is more complicated and has a higher production cost than the physical method, it also has more prominent advantages, such as effectively removing the dyes and impurities contained in the used polyester apparel. In doing so, by recycling the used polyester apparel, the regenerated polyester fiber with the performance equivalent to the virgin polyester fiber can be generated.
