Abstract: Based on the selected apparel of the “2017-2020 Top Ten Innovative Textile Products”, this paper analyzed the current situation of China’s apparel development, and discussed its technological innovation in development from four aspects, i.e., material innovation, process innovation, cultural innovation and functional innovation. In the end, the paper proposed three future directions for innovation in apparel development, that is, diversification, functionalization and sustainable fashion.
