Abstract: Organic reversible ternary thermochromic materials have always been a hot issue because of their unique advantages. From the perspective of material color change, this paper concludes the research results of the color change mechanism of ternary thermochromic materials, summarizes 4 important factors that affect the color change of the compound, and discusses the related effect of each factor. It is helpful to deepen the understanding of the discoloration mechanism of thermochromic materials and provide a basis for further research and application of thermochromic materials.
