Simulation Study on the Test of Electromagnetic Shielding Suit by Absorbing Material Filling Dummy Model

2020年4月30日

Abstract: The wave-transmitting rectangular plexiglass box with the size specified by DIN 32780-100 is invoked as a dummy model. The electromagnetic shielding fabric cover is made of copper-nickel conductive plain fabric and can be closely fitted to the box, so as to simulate the cloth and model in the shielding effectiveness test. The shielding room method was used to test the shielding effectiveness of the fabric cover after filling different absorbing materials in the range of 2.5~18 GHz to study the influence of the metal cavity formed by the electromagnetic shielding clothing and the dummy model on the shielding effectiveness test. Results show that after filling the absorbing material, the shielding effectiveness of the fabric cover is much improved, and the test signal-to-noise ratio is also reduced. After further changing the filling conditions of the absorbing material, the research found that the filling position and the filling amount had little effect on the shielding performance test results of the fabric cover. And when the filling size was lowered to a certain extent, the absorbing material did not work. The above research provides a reference to fill the absorbing material inside the dummy model, and to improve the scientificity of the test method and results.
