Abstract: In view of the problems of poor desizing, improper fibrillation, pilling, crease and abrasion in the process of dyeing and finishing for standard Tencel^TM fabric, the paper carried out a comprehensive study on related technologies and auxiliaries. These problems could be solved via the enzyme cold padbatch desizing process, the open-width alkali mercerizing process, the enzyme polishing and sand washing process and dyeing with one-bath softening agent to control abrasion. At the same time, the touch, easy care finishing, anti-mosquito and perfume finishing process was optimized in order to meet the market’s requirements on the touch and functionality of the Tencel^TM products.
