Abstract: This paper briefly introduced the development of the production efficiency of the ring spinning preparation process and the application of the sliver direct-spinning technology. It analyzed the influence of the super-high-draft open-end spinning and the drafting of the ring spinning on the spinning quality, and the influence of drafting device on the drafting quality and ability of twisted sliver and twistless sliver. From the perspective of technological application and economic operation, the paper studied the feasibility of industrial application of direct spinning via twistless sliver on spinning frame, and discussed several factors influenced investment, operating costs, quality and management. Results indicated that the technical solution of spinning high-quality yarn by directly feeding the twistless sliver from the sliver can into the spinning frame is not practical in both technical and economic aspects.
