Abstract: The paper reviews the development history of double needle bar warp knitting machine and introduces several models of technologically-proven double needle bar warp knitting machines and related CAD systems available on both domestic and overseas markets. It points out the features and design requirements of CAD software for fully-fashioned warp knitting process by taking the CAD design of fullyfashioned sportswear on double needle bar warp knitting machine as an example. The contents of this paper will lay a foundation for the further study of seamless knitting technology of double needle bar warp knitting machine.
