Abstract: In recent years, compact spinning, as a hot spot for the R&D of spinning technology, has injected new blood intro conventional spinning technologies. The quality of compact-spun wool yarn is obviously superior to that of conventional ring-spun wool yarn. In this paper,the compacting principle, technical advantages and yarn quality of major wool compact spinning machines were introduced.
