Abstract: Color analysis of linen fabric dyed by sappan wood was made through single factor experiment in order to study the impact of the process conditions. The results showed that the dye concentration, dyeing temperature, dyeing time, pH value, dyeing times, mordant types and concentration, mordant dyeing process had influence on the color effects of dyed linen fabric. The color range of linen fabric dyed sappan wood was wide, and two color hues, ten traditional dress colors and related dyeing process were obtained, which could also be used in modern fashion design.
