On June 5, 2026, Sun Ruizhe, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CNTAC, attended the 4th Technical Textiles Technology Development Conference in Yinchuan and delivered a keynote speech titled “Based on National Needs, Industry Urgencies, and Innovation Directions — Overcoming Difficulties, Strengthening Quality, and Expanding New Horizons”. Key points include:

(1) Technical textiles, bearing the weight of life and safety, are accelerating the realization of “everything can be woven” in aero.

(2) The industry faces a “big but not strong” structural contradiction, with weak basic research, dependence on foreign key materials and equipment, and lagging standards systems.

(3) A new round of technological revolution exhibits four major changes: speed (innovation cycles are sharply shortened), depth (original innovation and standard-setting capability become key), paradigm (intelligence-native drives flat and integrated systems), and ecology (cross-sector collaboration becomes the norm).

(4) In the new “15th Five-Year Plan” journey, China’s textile industry has established four contemporary positions: pillar industry of the national economy, livelihood industry for common prosperity, advantage industry connecting domestic and international markets, and classic industry inheriting innovation.

(5) Four strategic directions proposed: first, build the foundation (strengthen fundamentals through technology, break through high-performance flame-retardant and anti-cut materials); second, set benchmarks (improve quality through standards, build full-chain standards); third, expand applications (develop new spaces through scenarios, smart cities and low-altitude safety); fourth, gather collective strength (build ecosystems through collaboration, create world-class emergency safety textile clusters).

(6) Emergency safety fiber products are at a window period of technological trajectory change and industrial quality leap — whoever first breaks through key materials, processes, equipment, and standards will take the initiative.
