Abstract: The compact-siro spinning device modified from the original spinning frame tends to produce slubs. To reduce these defects and enhance yarn quality, the paper focuses on optimizing the fore-spinning process setup to decrease staple proliferation and improve fiber straightness and parallelism. Experiments and auxiliary process improvements optimized the spinning process, emphasizing factors that cause small slubs and the drafting process configuration. Ultimately, high-quality 11.7 tex combed compact siro-spun yarn was produced, providing a reference for reducing slubs in compact-siro spun yarns.
