Abstract: This paper analyzed the basic properties of Dralon fiber (acrylic fiber developed by German Dralon Company) as well as the tensile fracture strength, evenness and hairiness of 32^S Dralon/viscose blended yarn. By using this 32^S blended yarn and 50 D/24 f nylon covered 30 D spandex yarn, Dralon/viscose blended knitted fabric with rib compound structure was made on double circular knitting machine and dyeing and finishing treatment. The basic parameters, mechanical properties, warmth retention property and comfort property of the Dralon fiber/viscose blended knitted fabric were tested. The experimental results show that the Dralon /viscose blended knitted fabric has the features of softness, better bulky, good warmth retention as well as dry and breathable, yet has the disadvantage of poor anti-fuzzing and pilling.This Dralon/viscose blended knitted fabric is suitable for developing high-grade knitted underwear and sportswear.
