Study on the Anti-ultraviolet Finishing of Cotton Fabrics by Ag/TiO2

2015年4月12日

Abstract: Sol-gel and photo-deduction deposition process were used to finish the cotton fabric. The thermal stability, morphology, structure and composition were characterized by TGA, SEM and EDS. The UV resistance performance was also investigated. The results showed that Ag and TiO2 were successfully finished to the fabric and the thermal stability of the fabric improved very much after finishing. The UPF value of the fabric can reach 60+ when 0.09 mol/L AgNO3 was used. Furthermore, the fabric treated by low-temperature oxygen plasma showed improved UV resistance and good fastness to washing.
