Abstract: A kind of modified polyester fiber were prepared and dyed with acidic dyes in order to test the dyeability of the fiber. The dye-uptake of acidic dyes to the modified polyester fiber was also compared with that of wool, silk, PA6 and PET. The optimum condition was as follows: dyeing time 1h, bath ratio 1∶50, in which the dye-uptake could reach 53.5%, when dosage of Brilliant Green 3GM Mas 2%(o.w.f). The dyeability of acidic dyes to the modified polyester fiber was lower than that of wool, silk and PA6, but much higher than that of PET.
