In July alone, China’s textile and apparel exports reached US$28.8 billion, marking the highest monthly growth rate so far this year, with a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. Specifically, textile exports amounted to US$12.35 billion, up 6.4% year-on-year, while apparel exports reached US$16.45 billion, showing a significant year-on-year increase of 8.5%. As inventory levels of international brands continued to decline, restocking demand in overseas markets gradually recovered. Procurement of textile intermediates and finished apparel showed signs of improvement, supporting relatively rapid growth in China’s textile and apparel exports during the month.

From the perspective of major markets in the first half of the year, China’s textile and apparel exports to the United States increased by 12.5% year-on-year, while exports to the European Union remained largely stable. Exports to markets including ASEAN, Japan, and South Korea declined to some extent.

Currently, the global trade environment remains complex, with factors such as trade policy adjustments and geopolitical conflicts intertwined. The recovery of international market demand continues to face considerable uncertainty. Against this backdrop, Chinese textile and apparel enterprises have actively adapted to changes in the external environment, continuously strengthened their market responsiveness, and further demonstrated the resilience of the industry’s foreign trade.
