Rotorcraft innovations at ITMA Singapore focus on eco-friendliness, cost-efficiency

2025/9/3

At ITMA 2025 in Singapore, Swiss market leader for spinning innovation Rotorcraft AG introduces, for the first time to the world-wide textile producing industry, three significant innovations:

The first new product showcased is the Rotorcraft Green Compact™ traverse solution which uses the built-in traverse capability of the ring frame. The retrofit traverse systems of other compact system makers face two major problems: Electrical motors prone to quick burn-out failure, and complicated handling unfit for an industrial environment.

With Green Compact TM traverse, such problems are a thing of the past. The Rotorcraft solution permits a traverse motion of 5 mm, thereby further extending the cot lifetime in the market-leading mechanical compacting system GreenCompactTM. Rotorcraft Traverse has been introduced in select markets in early 2025 and instantly became the top seller.

The second innovation for ITMA Singapore is GreenCompact™ USF (Ultra-Short Fibers). With this world-first solution for ring spinning, Rotorcraft allows customers to use extremely short fibers, which were previously discarded, in the roving to be spun into a high-quality ring yarn. Fiber range for Rotorcraft’s USF is 18 to 28 mm.

The system points either to the use of short fibers Cotton 100 in an upcycling process or to be suitable to spin recycled compact ring yarn Cotton 60/40 in a recycling process.

The third innovation fosters the twist/untwist parameters on speed-/ ring frames. GreenCompact™ SFC (Speed- or Simplex frame compact) introduces the world’s first mechanical compact to Roving frames. The Roving Compact improves quality parameters on the Ring frame, even at low twist rates.

These innovations have been selectively introduced to select markets and now go from Singapore to the world. Experience these breakthrough innovations at the

Rotorcraft booth Hall 3, No. C205.
