According to customs statistics, in May 2020, China's textile and garment exports amounted to about US$ 29.55 billion. Thereinto, the exports of yarn, fabrics and related products totaled US$ 20.64 billion; the exports of garment and accessories was about US$ 8.91 billion. In the first five months of 2020, China exported US$ 57.95 billion worth of yarn, fabrics and related products, seeing a year-on-year increase of 21.3%. And the exports of garment and accessories was about US$ 38.21 billion, down 22.8% year-on-year.

In May, the imports of yarn, fabrics and related products totaled US$ 877 million. From January to May, China imported over US$ 5.97 billion worth of yarn, fabrics and related products, down 9.4% year-on-year.
