The prosperity index of China's cotton textile industry came in at 46.36 in March, up 3.97 from February.

In March, the raw material purchasing index came in at 45.60, down 2.92 over February; the raw material inventory index came in at 46.74, down 2.79 month-on-month; the production index was 45.14, up 7.57 from February; the product sales index came in at 45.04, surged by 10.82 from February; the product inventory index was 49.46, up 1.11 from February and the business index came in at 46.33, increased by 8.91 from the previous month.

The prosperity index of China's cotton textile industry is based on the weighed calculation of numerous main indicators of about 200 backbone cotton textile enterprises. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
