According to customs statistics, Xinjiang port exported CNY 32.47 billion worth of apparel and accessories in 2019, seeing a year-on-year growth of 18.9%; while yarn and textiles exported from Xinjiang port reached CNY 6.48 billion in 2019, down 5.9% year-on-year.

In terms of imports, the total cotton imports at Xinjiang ports from January to December 2019 were CNY 1.43 billion, up 15.1% year-on-year; the total imports of textile machinery and spare parts reached CNY 670 million, declined by 50.7% year-on-year; and the imports of yarns and textiles achieved CNY 240 million, up 32.8% year-on-year.
