Abstract: The difference between the latest edition and the old edition of OEKO-TEX^® Standard 100 was compared, and the newly added and revised items were analyzed one by one in this paper. By comparing the existing test methods on harmful compounds prohibited in textiles, the shortcomings of the present standards were investigated. The available test methods for the newly added compounds were also discussed, and the corresponding countermeasures for coping with the new requirements of OEKO-TEX^® Standard 100 were proposed.
