Abstract: Fiber assembly is an important form of textiles, while heat transfer performance is one of the main physical properties of fiber assembly. However, the test methods and theoretical models particularly for fiber assembly are quite few at the moment, most of which are designed for fabrics. The paper introduces the common test methods and theoretical models for heat transfer performance of textiles. The characteristics of these existing methods are pointed out and some suggestions on improving these methods and models are put forward so that they can be used for fiber assembly.
