Functional textiles lead the trend in the development of textile products. Only those functional textiles that have been accredited by relevant authorities can they be accepted and recognized by consumers. Accreditation can promote the development of functional textiles market. The article introduces the standards and methods adopted in Taiwan for accreditation of functional textiles. It calls on establishing standards and setting up related accreditation organization for functional textiles in Mainland China.
