Abstract: The paper carries out a study on "Zhong Dan" – a traditional costume of Han nationality from two aspects: structure and sewing technique. By discussing the cutting and sewing technique of "Zhong Dan", it analyzes the workmanship exhibited by this traditional costume and draws the conclusion that the workmanship and aesthetics demonstrated by the "Zhong Dan", which follow the traditional creation thought, objectively reflect the traditional aesthetic value of being stable and peaceful and the harmony between man and nature, and express the ideological and moral concept of orderly human relations and their good wishes for life.
