Abstract: The paper discusses the importance and the sources of inspiration for designing garment materials in a creative way and analyzed the creative designing methods, including three-dimensional design, increment design, subtraction design, crocheting design, visual texture design, etc., hoping these will inspire designers’ creative ideas and enhance the artistic appeal of garment materials.
