Abstract: With the development of computer technology, especially the application of 3D scanning technology in garment design, intelligent modeling, which cannot be realized in traditional designing methods, now becomes a reality. The paper points out that based on new 3D technology, designers can extend their designing ideas and methods via style modeling and generate more rational garment structure to guide the innovation in garment production mode. It also predicts that with the advancement of media and computer technology, more and more innovative modes will be applied to garment design and development.
