Abstract: This paper first introduced the designing of fabric for draping pleats, and then to solve the difficulties in pattern design of the draping pleats, by designing a sample of draping-pleated-effect blouse with draping technology, it discussed the possibilities to transfer the draping pleats into a pattern draft. The paper also provided referential and practical methods for combining draping technology with pattern drafting technology, which offer new ideas and theoretic basis for pattern design of draping pleats.
