Abstract: Based on basic pattern of poodle skirt, poodle skirts with different pieces of panels and different degrees of angle were made by using crepe de chine fabric which has good draping properties. The correlation between skirt length, waist hip length and the elongation of fabric with different yarn directions was discussed, and based on which, the pattern is modified. The analysis draws the conclusion that when the bias-cutting angle and skirt length increases, the girth of hemline enlarges; and when the degree of angle remains unchanged, the more the pieces of panel we have, the more symmetrical the waves of hemline become.
