Based on existing and emerging problems in process design and development of fabrics in Chinese enterprises, the author pointed out main directions for fabric development, namely,strengthening the design capacity of color and pattern of fabrics; improving dyeing and finishing techniques to enhance development capacity of functional fabrics; raising level of testing and equipment for fabrics; encouraging to consume eco-textiles.
