Research Progress on the Application of Acoustic Emission Technology in Fiber Materials

Abstract: As a dynamic nondestructive testing technology, acoustic emission technology is almost unlimited for all materials and can be widely used in stability assessment and damage detection of various materials or structures. This paper briefly introduces the principle of acoustic emission technology and data processing methods and summarized their application in the field of fiber materials, including the damage research of textile materials such as fibers, yarns and fabrics. In the end, the paper looks forward to the development prospect of acoustic emission in view of the shortcomings of the current research.
