Research Progress of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Dyeing for Polyester/Cotton Blended Fabrics

Abstract: The paper summarizes the recent research progress of supercritical carbon dioxide dyeing for polyester/cotton blended fabrics from three aspects, that is, modification pretreatment of cotton fiber, supercritical fluid polarity adjustment and special dye synthesis. By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of supercritical carbon dioxide fluid dyeing technology, it is found that one step dyeing of polyester/cotton blended fabric with special dye in supercritical carbon dioxide has a broad application prospect. By further summarizing the dyeing effects of different types of special dyes in recent years, it is pointed out that the development and research of special dyes for the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid dyeing technology should be further strengthened to promote the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid anhydrous dyeing technology of polyester/cotton blended fabrics.
