Synthesis and Application of Fluorine-free Water Repellents

Abstract: Using stearyl methylacrylate (SMA) as the subject, as well as hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as functional monomer, WF emulsion is synthesized by emulsion polymerization. Finally, obtain a fluorine-free water-repellent emulsion PSA by blending WF emulsion with a waterproof synergist P. Taking chemical fiber fabrics and cheese yarn as application objects, the paper investigated the application properties of PSA emulsion. The results showed that when the ratio of WF emulsion and waterproof synergist P is 8∶2, PSA emulsion has good waterproof performance, washable effect and dye stability.
