Key Technology of Fusible Process and Its Application in Garments

Abstract: Smart wearable apparel combing microelectronics and clothing is one of the recent research hotspots. The fusible process provides the possibility of scale production of the intelligent garment. This paper first analyzes the basic principles of fusible production and introduces three technologies that have been applied in large scale, that is, thermal fusible technology, ultrasonic fusible technology, and laser fusible technology. The paper summarizes their technical principles and briefly analyzes their merits and demerits. Also, it investigated the adhesive strips on the current market, and analyzes the influence of the main processing parameters on the adhesive layer and the material layer. In the end, the paper summarizes the latest application of fusible technology in textile and garment industry, and looks forward to its future development.
