Study on Physicochemical and Mechanical Properties of Supercritical CO2 Anhydrous Dyeing of Polyester Filament

Abstract: In order to explore the effect of supercritical CO2 anhydrous dyeing on the physicochemical and mechanical properties of polyester filament, and to provide a basis for the development of supercritical CO2 anhydrous dyeing products, this paper carried out a comparative study on the surface morphology,molecular structure, crystallinity, orientation, wicking and tensile properties of supercritical CO2 waterless dyed polyester fiber package yarn and traditional water dyed polyester fiber yarn. Results show that when dyeing with the same dyes, the crystal structure and main functional groups of the polyester filament dyed by supercritical CO2 anhydrous dyeing have not changed. And its crystallinity, thermal properties and tensile property of the polyester filament are basically the same with that of the traditional water-dyed polyester filament. But its wicking performance is slightly worse than traditional water-dyed polyester filaments.
