Discussion of Related Technological Parameters Based on Suitable Fiber Length on Cotton Comber

Abstract: The paper discussed the process parameter settings related to the length of the suitable fiber, and analyzed theoretically the relations between suitable fiber length with cylinder location as well as forward motion timing of detaching roller. The paper obtained suitable scope of fiber length on one variable speed comber by using mechanism modeling and Matlab programming, and carried out an experiment about cylinder location and forward motion timing of detaching roller to the comber. Results indicated that when lap scale is-0.5, the cylinder location should move forward correspondingly, which is beneficial to reduce the comb noil, and evenness CV value of combing sliver, and improving uniformity of combing sliver. This result is consistent with the theoretical calculating data of this comber.
