Differentiation and Integration of Apparel E-commerce Development in China

Abstract: With more than 20 years' development, great changes have taken place in e-commerce of China's garment industry. This paper introduced the characteristics of rapid differential development and tensional integration of China's apparel e-commerce from the analysis of the functional sociology principle. First of all, the popularity of the Internet and its remarkable development advantages have promoted the differentiation of China's apparel e-commerce,which shows the characteristic of high-speed differentiation development. Secondly, as an emerging market economic activity, the integration of China's clothing e-commerce also contains many contradictions with the characteristics of tension integration. During the 13th“Five-year Plan”period (2016 — 2020), the industry has entered a critical period of transformation and upgrading. To promote the coordinated development of China's apparel e-commerce, and to harmonize rural differentiation and integration, it is necessary to promote product innovation, improve user experience and introduce differentiated competition under the background of“Internet Plus”.
