Design and Production of Gradient Yarn-dyed Shirt Fabric of Copperion Modified Polyester

Abstract: In order to obtain high-grade yarn-dyed shirt fabric, this paper designed and produced gradient yarn-dyed shirt fabric of copper-ion modified polyester with 18.5 tex copper-ion modified polyester yarn as weft and 13 tex cotton/polyester blended yarn (65/35) as warp. Through optimization of winding, warping, sizing, weaving and other production processes, the weaving efficiency was as high as 94%, and first grade percentage put in storage was up to 99%. After the test, the warp tear strength of the fabric was 14.04 N, the weft tear strength was 12.08 N, the warp crease recovery angle was 116.6o, the weft crease recovery angle was 126.2o, the total crease recovery angle was 242.8o, the weight loss rate was 0.23%, the air permeability was 615 mm/s, and the moisture permeability was 7 920 g/(m2·d).
