Study on the Tribological Properties of ZrO2 Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Resin Composites

Abstract: In view of ZrO2 fiber which has the excellent mechanical properties and high temperature performance has not been developed to ZrO2 fiber composites as anti-wear materials. This paper prepared ZrO2 fiber reinforced epoxy resin composites and carried out a research on their tribological properties.Results indicated that the ZrO2 fiber can improve the wear rate of the composite material with respect to the ZrO2 powder. When the content of the ZrO2 fiber is 30wt%, the tribological performance of the ZrO2 fiberepoxy resin composite is the best, and the wear rate can reach 10-5 mm3/(N·m) order of magnitude. The conclusion can guide the preparation and performance improvement of other fiber self-lubricating materials, so as to develop the ZrO2 fiber composites with excellent mechanical properties and tribological properties.
