Preparation of Cyclodextrin Nano-silver and Its Antibacterial Performance on Cotton Fabric

Abstract: Silver ammonia complexion was reduced by cyclodextrins hydrolysate to get nano-silver solution.The size and size distribution of nano-silver were measured by HPPS and TEM. Then the solution was used to treat cotton fabrics, and the antibacterial performance of treated fabrics was investigated. The results showed the finished cotton fabrics had excellent antibacterial performance against Escherichia coli (E.coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus), with bacteriostasis rate respectively up to 99.42% and 99.57%. And it remained more than 92% after washing 50 times.
