A Study on Optimal Design of High-Count-Density Stitching Double-layer Fabric

Updated: 2012/4/17 11:44:00

The causes of poor coverage of color, “thin & thick place” defects and low stitching fastness often seen on high-count-density stitching double-layer fabric are discussed with examples. A solution is made by adjusting the way that the two layers are stitched, including optimizing the average yarn numbers of a stitching unit, the arrangement of stitching points and the type of yarn at stitching points. These measures have rationally resolved the contradiction between appearance and physical properties and improved the wearability of the fabric.
