Modification of Polyacrylonitrile Fiber for Anti-static Property: Technology & Developing Trends

Abstract: The paper first introduces both the shortcomings and limitations of conventional acrylic fiber and the advantages of anti-static acrylic fiber, and then introduces three methods/technologies for endowing the fiber with anti-static property, namely the after-treatment method, the polybleding method of antistatic agent and spinning solution and the copolymerization method. Advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared and analyzed, and developing trend of anti-static technology for acrylic fiber is anticipated.
